Job Description:
Position Information The Men's Basketball Assistant Coach 3 is
responsible for assisting with all aspects of an NCAA Division I
Men's Basketball programincluding, but not limited to, the
identification and recruitment of academically and athletically
qualified student-athletes; supporting the academic progress of
student-athletes; preparing and conducting individual and team
practices, training, film review, statistical analysis, and
competition; fostering the academic, athletic, and personal growth
of student-athletes; organizing team and staff travel arrangements;
facilitating administrative duties and paperwork; managing the
distribution and ordering of team equipment and office supplies;
coordinating and administering special basketball events, social
media and representing the sports program as needed in association
with promoting and fundraising for the program. Please note that

Coach 3 position. The full salary range for the Men's Basketball
Assistant Coach 3 is $73,600.00- $133,200 annually. We base salary
offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure
and certifications, experience, and other business and
organizational needs. Applicants must have current work
authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we
are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment
Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to

additional requirements. Education Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent
experience/training with a college-level program. (Required)
Master's Degree. (Preferred) Certification Requirements May need to
maintain CPR/AED and First Aid certification. (Preferred) May need
to maintain NCAA certified recruiter status. (Preferred) Experience
Requirements 4 - 7 years of related experience. (Required) 1 - 2
years of experience coaching in the Big West Conference.
(Preferred) Minimum Requirements Strong interpersonal, motivational
and team leadership skills to work effectively with athletic
participants. Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards
of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Collegiate
Athletic Association (NCAA) or National Association of
Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as well as other associations and
agencies to which the campus adheres, and, at all times avoid any
and all violations of these rules and standards. Ability to
demonstrate creativity, sound judgment and decision-making;, be an
effective problem solver and effectively communicate verbally and
in writing. Specialized knowledge of the team sport or activity and
demonstrated technical expertise in coaching principles. Leadership
skills to mentor and develop athletes. Preferred Qualifications
Ability to assess and optimize individual player and team
development. Knowledge of Team travel requirements and
responsibilities. Ability to conduct film analysis of other teams
and be able to breakdown and develop defensive/offensive gameplans.
Ability to build recruiting relationships both domestically and
