Vice President, Planned Community Development VICE PRESIDENT - PLANNED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Lewis Planned Communities, a division of the Lewis Group of Companies, one of the largest privately owned real estate developers in the nation, is actively seeking a Vice President of Planned Community Development for its Southern California division located at the Lewis Corporate office in Upland, Ca. In your new role, you will be a highly visible senior executive leading multiple development projects as well as interacting with other project leaders, including the senior partners of the company. - You will assume responsibility for -entitling and developing residential projects (including large-master planned communities), primarily throughout the Inland Empire area of Southern California.

To be successful, you should have proven experience managing all aspects of large, multi-million dollar residential and/or mixed-use real estate developments and have current relationships with builders, developers, and city/county agencies in California (Inland Empire area experience is a plus). - Your development experience should include most or all the following: -

  • Senior-level management experience with a major homebuilder and/or developer
  • 10+ years of -experience in land development and entitlement of residential and/or mixed-use projects (preferably large-scale projects).
  • Experienced in infrastructure planning and development
  • Extensive CEQA and Resource Agency permitting knowledge and experience
  • Familiarity in evaluating market conditions
  • Extensive knowledge of planning and zoning regulations
  • Vast experience working with state and local governmental agencies
  • Title and escrow familiarity and experience with land purchase and sale agreements
  • Financial management (working with complex financial models)
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and proficient in public speaking
  • Involvement in civic and industry organizations
