Job Description:

A company is looking for an Oncology Data Specialist - Certified.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and abstract oncology patient data for reporting and research purposes
Ensure accurate coding and documentation of cancer cases in compliance with state and national guidelines
Monitor and report quality discrepancies in the electronic medical records

Required Qualifications

Associate degree in health sciences or related field with coursework in Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology
Oncology Data Specialist credential (ODS-C) must be obtained within two years of hire
Two years of medical office experience related to malignant diseases and tumor classification
Completion of college courses in Pathology is preferred
