Job Description:
The Coding Manager is responsible for the oversight and assessment of the accurate and timely coding of all medical records according to regulations, coding guidelines, and hospital policies. Ensures and maintains the quality of the coding database. Evaluates, plans, directs, and organizes work flow of un-coded accounts on a daily basis, assigning staff to various areas as necessary to maintain organizational and departmental goals.
Manages coding personnel and acts as a liaison with other
departments in matters related to coding and HIM policies. Ensures
accurate and timely reporting to OSHPD and other required
entities.
Performs other duties as needed. Licensure, Certification, or
Registration Required: RHIT, RHIA, or CCS required.
