VICE PRESIDENT - RETAIL PROJECT DEVELOPMENT Lewis Retail Centers, a division of the Lewis Group of Companies, one of the nation's largest privately held real estate developers, is actively seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Vice President, Retail Project Development. This position would be located at our busy Upland, CA corporate office in the Inland Empire of Southern California.About us: Lewis Retail Centers isone of the largest shopping center developers in California and Nevada and has developed a portfolio of dynamic neighborhood, community, and lifestyle retail centers totaling over 9 million square feet in 30+ centers. This prime space is home to many of the nation's most prestigious retailers.Lewis Retail Centers is excited to be adding a member to its current experienced and personable development team. In your role, you will work under the immediate supervision of the VP, Commercial Development and will have the opportunity to interact directly with all our development partners, as well as vice presidents, managers and staff across various Lewis business units.To succeed, you should be knowledgeable in all facets of the commercial real estate process with proven experience in entitlements and site development for retail developments/shopping centers. A background in architecture and/or engineering with a minimum of 10 years' experience is highly preferred. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Project) is required.Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Selecting and supervising teams of architects and engineers in project development
• Initiating and securing entitlements
• Public agency approvals and negotiations, including Planning Commission and City Council meetings
• Permitting for project construction
• Contractor selection, bidding analysis and negotiation
• Providing initial budgets/schedules
