Taylor University is seeking applications of candidates for Payroll Manager. This is a full time, 12 month, non-exempt position located in Upland, Indiana. Responsibilities: The Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the organization's payroll functions, ensuring that pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees procedures and processes and manages inquiries and requests related to preparation and distribution of payroll.
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Maintains or oversees the maintenance of employee records.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll software, systems, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complete year-end processing including W2s and 1095s.Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Proficient with payroll software. Education Requirements: -
      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, preferred.
      • Three to five years of related experience required.Physical Requirements:
        • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
        • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. START DATE November 1, 2021 or until position fills Interested candidates should attach a cover letter, resume, and transcripts.
