Job Description:
Expert Staffing West is seeking an Inventory Clerk II for a
facility in Oceanside Ca. INVENTORY CONTROL CLERK II Pay: $21.50 -
$24.00 Schedule: M-F 8am-4:30pm Interview: 2 rounds of interviews
Experience Required: High School Diploma 2 years of experience in
Inventory Control 2 years manufacturing experience Must Haves:
Excel (sums & percentages) Problem-Solving - troubleshoot inventory
discrepancies and process variances. Job Summary The Inventory
Control Specialist is responsible for assisting in the inventory
control operations. The Inventory Control Specialists will maintain
the organization’s inventory, ordering and supplying necessary
items while maintaining accurate records of all procurements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive) ?
Employs standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory
management efficiency. ? Ensure inventory is accurate in the areas
of RTE, Raw, and Finished Goods by performing daily cycle counts
and corrections. ? Perform quarterly inventory audits and assist
with the Year-End Inventory Audit. ? Facilitate communication
involving any inventory discrepancies or other concerns with the
appropriate team members. ? Foster effective working relationships
with production, material handlers, planning & design, purchasing,
warehouse management, accounting, and quality assurance ?
Investigate inventory discrepancies and make corrections as needed
? Assist with analysis of inventory-related transactions such as
(but not limited to) process order yields, delivery notes, material
usage, Bill of Material quantities, and Weeks of Supply ?
Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to
identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory
capabilities and develop best inventory management practices. ?
Conduct cycle counts as needed. ? Investigate all and any high
variances in Work orders and cycle counts. ? Help maintain all
inventory accuracy on the floor and 1322. ? Responsible for
monitoring and analyzing inventory levels, identifying trends, and
making recommendations to optimize inventory management ? Inventory
Management, Forecasting, Analysis, Reconciling, Accuracy, Inventory
Control, and Cycle Counting Performance Indicators ? Successfully
maintains inventory control accuracy at or above 98%. ?
Successfully completes cycle counts and reconciliations within
designated timeframes ? Successfully investigates and resolves
inventory discrepancies within 24 hours Abilities ? Knowledge of
Inventory Control Methods: FIFO, LIFO and cycle counting processes.
? Knowledge of Audit and Reconciliation Procedures: Quarterly and
year-end audit processes. ? Knowledge of Materials and Production
Processes: Familiarity with raw materials, RTE (Ready to Eat),
finished goods, and manufacturing workflows. ? Bill of Materials
(BOM): Knowledge of how BOM affects inventory. ? Knowledge of
Regulatory and Quality Standards: Familiarity with compliance,
safety, and quality assurance protocols. ? Attention to Detail:
Accurate data entry, recordkeeping, and identifying variances. ?
Communication Skills: Clear and effective verbal and written
communication with cross-functional teams (production, accounting,
QA, etc.). ? Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies
and process variances. ? Time Management: Prioritizing tasks like
cycle counts, audits, and reporting deadlines. ? Ability to Conduct
Physical Counts: Execute cycle counts and reconcile physical vs.
system inventory. ? Work Cross-Functionally: Collaborate across
departments to resolve issues and improve processes. ? Adapt to
Changing Priorities: Flexibility to handle urgent inventory issues
or shifts in production needs. ? Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure
that all inventory transactions are documented and traceable.
Computer & Numeracy: ? Ability to read and write in the English
language ? Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all
units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals, and unit of measure conversions. ? Proficient in using
ERP system ? Proficient in using MS Office applications: Word and
Excel ? Proficient in using the Google Suite Typical Physical
Activity ? Regularly involves talking or listening, sitting, and
the use of hands and fingers. ? Frequently involves reaching with
hands and arms, standing, and walking. ? Frequently involves
standing and walking. ? Occasionally involves crouching, stooping,
kneeling, and/or climbing or balancing. ? Must be able to lift and
carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. ? Manual dexterity sufficient
to reach/handle items, work with the fingers, and perceive
attributes of objects and materials. ? Involves moderate physical
activity, performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily
administrative nature. ? Should be able to identify and distinguish
colors, see clearly at 20 inches or closer and 20 feet or more,
observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and
right while eyes are fixed on a given point, judge distances and
spatial relationships, and adjust the eye to bring an object into
sharp focus.
