Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY The CNA
functions as an assistant to the Registered Nurse. Under the
supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse, a CNA provides basic
nursing services to ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene,
and protection of patients.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or GED
preferred. Satisfactory completion of Certified Nursing
Assistant Training Course or see Experience section
below.
Experience: In lieu of CNA course, recent
completion of one year formal RN program.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to work in a fast-paced
environment, and manage/prioritized/complete work assignments and
other duties as assigned. Able to communicate effectively in
English, both orally and in writing.
License and Certifications: Current California CNA
certificate. A current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card is
required.
Equipment: None.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the
essential physical requirements of the
job.
