Overview: VCI Construction is currently seeking an experienced
Equipment Operator for our Greater LA/Inland Empire locations.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of experience
operating underground utilities equipment and possess a valid
drivers license Qualifications:

Overview:
Our company is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to
join our team in Greater LA/Inland Empire, CA. The ideal candidates
can operate a variety of underground utility equipment in a safe
and effective manner and have a minimum of 2 years of
experience.
All candidates must adhere to strict safety standards while
ensuring the highest quality of work is completed efficiently and
timely.
Responsibilities:
Operate Case backhoe and front end loaders as required
Heavy excavation
Operate graders for leveling and operates tractors to load
materials such as dirt and rocks.
Operate forklifts and dump trucks to transport materials, trash,
and debris.
Operates various equipment for general site preparation,
landscaping, and related assignments.
Perform daily inspection and routine maintenance on vehicles and
equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment, tools,
and supplies.
Reads utility locates, coordinates potholing, and ensures the
safety of existing facilities.
Operate motor vehicles during travel to/from job sites.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in underground dry utilities
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background
check
Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules and
operating instructions
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and
procedures.
Must have understanding of the hazards and precautions of the
trade
Must be able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather
conditions
Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes,
weighing 50 to 100 pounds
Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other
crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to
ensure safe coordination of movement
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while performing
work
Must be able to ascend and descend ladders
Must be able to sit for hours on equipment
Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses,
hard hat, and any applicable safety gear
Positive attitude, hard work ethic, and a priority for safety
Must have a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving
record
