Job Description:
A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter responsible for
underwriting first and second mortgages while ensuring compliance
with guidelines and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Underwrite mortgage loan files in compliance with guidelines and
policies
Evaluate financial documents to determine loan eligibility and
repayment capacity
Monitor the mortgage pipeline and support management with audit and
reporting tasks
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related
field preferred
Minimum of seven years of mortgage underwriting experience
required
Active NMLS license with completion of required education and
training
Detailed knowledge of secondary market guidelines and regulatory
issues
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related loan origination
systems
