Job Description:
A company is looking for an Outpatient Complex Coder for a
full-time remote position.
Key Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and code diagnostic and procedural information
from patient medical records for billing purposes
Abstract information for patient databases to support medical
research and administrative decision-making
Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, reimbursement policies,
and regulations
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
Additional specialty coding certification or 10 years of coding
experience required
One to two years of college or coursework in relevant fields
preferred
Minimum of two years coding experience required
Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT),
CPC, or CCS required
