Job Description:

As a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst for WebPT, you will help lead the department in Quality Assurance and Release Management Best Practices and Strategic Initiatives for our existing and new technologies. In this position, you will independently and collaboratively be responsible for fully testing WebPT's existing and new software applications to ensure consistent delivery of quality, stable, and scalable product solutions and meeting departmental needs. This includes designing, building, collaborating, and deploying effective solutions across a suite of products and working towards goals. The ideal candidate will require out of the box thinking, not just accepting the bare minimum; while having a customer-focused mindset, maintains detailed standards in a high-demanding environment, and is proactive to ensure we are meeting expectations to deliver high-quality products while working independently, with other analysts, or cross-functional teams.ResponsibilitiesAdhere and lead the department in Quality Assurance, Software Development, and Release Management Best Practices.Help develop and maintain departmental lean solutions.Report on Statuses. Incidents, Defects, and Departmental Metrics.Review function and design specifications to ensure full understanding of deliverables.Identify test requirements from specifications, map test scenarios or case requirements, and design test coverage plans.Create Acceptance Criteria for User Stories, Defects, Technical Projects, and Deployments.Create, document, and maintain Functional Test Cases and Workflows, Exploratory Charters, and other Artifacts.Create and execute Test Suites to ensure system functionality satisfies criteria.Develop, execute, and evaluate manual and automated suites and report results to ensure that system functionality satisfies Exit Criteria.Use SQL database tools to perform SQL backend testing and validate that the sites and systems meet design requirements.Facilitate Test Artifacts or Root Cause Analysis reviews with cross-functional team members.Identify potential quality issues per defined integrated product workflows or technical projects and escalate those, as needed, to management.Isolate, replicate, and report Defects to verify fixes.Work with others to investigate member-reported issues and find solutions or workarounds.Identify and submit potential quality issues and errors per defined process and escalate those issues, as needed, to management.Participate in Scrum ceremonies and SDLC supporting tasks, like Peer Reviews.Interface with cross-functional teams.Support testing deployment rotation schedules.Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured Test Plans and Test Suites.Reliable and punctual in reporting for work and taking designated breaks.Abilities and KnowledgeAdhere and be a champion of Best Practices to meet both short- and long-term goals of our Engineering program.Ability to contribute or create up or down for documentation and communication of existing and new Best Practices.Ability to independently solve risk and issues to keep things moving forward and help implement process changes to do so.Solve manual efforts and focus on solutions that meet Business requirements while paying attention to the technical community and new technologies that could assist.Implement out of the box thinking, not just accepting the bare minimum.Able to estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate activities.Be organized, ahead of schedule, communicative, and accountable.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Able to handle multiple responsibilities and work in a fast-paced environment.Education and ExperienceRequired:8 years of Quality Assurance or a collective of Quality Assurance, Release Management, and Development experience and understanding of the industry's Best Practices.Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.Experience as a Leader for other QA and in department coworkers; self-starter, teacher, and steps in, as needed.Experience working in Agile development environments.Experience testing applications and different types of testing approaches.Experience on front, middle, and back-end testing.Experience in Risk Management.Experience with Test Suite and Defect management.Experience documenting and reporting test results.Experience creating metrics and reporting on results.Experience working in a fast-paced environment.SQL and/or MySQL scripting.Preferred:Healthcare domain knowledge or previous QA experience with healthcare APIs and applications.Experience working in Kanban/Scrum development environments.Experience working in a SAAS technology company.Experience in Selenium WebDriver.Experience with Java, TestNG and JavaScript.Experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) (Cucumber preferred).Experience working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) environments.Experience in Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).Experience supporting deployments.Experience with Performance Testing.Experience using VersionOne or Jira to support personal and team activities.Attendance and PunctualityBeing punctual, reliable and consistent is key to WebPT's success.
