Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Procurement
Contract Analyst will play a critical role in managing supplier
contracts, ensuring compliance, and driving cost optimization. This
position combines analytical rigor to support procurement
operations and mitigate risk across the supply chain. Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM This is a hybrid role. Candidates
must be available to work on-site 2–3 days per week. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities Contract Management & Compliance Draft,
review, and administer supplier contracts, amendments, and
renewals. Ensure all agreements comply with food safety regulations
and company policies. Maintain accurate contract records and
monitor expiration dates to prevent lapses. Procurement Analysis &
Reporting Analyze supplier performance metrics (cost, quality,
delivery timelines). Conduct cost-benefit and risk assessments for
new and existing contracts. Prepare monthly and quarterly
procurement reports Vendor Relations & Negotiation Serve as liaison
between internal teams and suppliers for contractual matters.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements to
maximize ROI. Support onboarding new vendors, ensuring all
documentation (e.g., HACCP plans, audits, certifications) is
complete. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Operations,
Quality, and Finance to align procurement strategies with
production needs. Assist in resolving contract disputes and supply
chain disruptions. All other duties as assigned Non-Essential Job
Duties May perform similar and incidental duties as required. Job
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business
Administration, or related field. 5 years of procurement or
contract management experience, ideally in food & beverage
manufacturing. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the CPG
industry is required. Knowledge Strong knowledge of food safety
compliance (FDA, SQF, BRC, HACCP). Advanced Excel and ERP systems
experience (NetSuite preferred). Language Skills Proficiency in
English (written and verbal) for drafting contracts, negotiating
terms, and communicating with internal teams. Additional language
skills (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) to support international vendor
relationships and global sourcing initiatives. Other Skills
Advanced knowledge of NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms for
contract and procurement workflows. Ability to interpret spend
data, supplier KPIs, and create dashboards using Excel, Power BI,
or Tableau. Familiarity with CLM software for tracking and
compliance. Identifying opportunities for savings without
compromising quality. Assessing supplier reliability and
contingency planning. Coordinating cross-functional initiatives and
timelines. Skilled in securing favorable terms while maintaining
strong supplier relationships. Ability to resolve disputes and
mitigate supply chain risks quickly. Clear, professional
interaction with internal teams and external vendors. Other
Abilities Ability to interpret complex contract terms and assess
financial implications. Skilled in root cause analysis for supply
chain disruptions and vendor performance issues. Ability to manage
multiple contracts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Skilled at prioritizing tasks based on business impact and urgency.
Ability to enforce compliance without compromising relationships.
Ethical Abilities Consistently acts in the company’s best interest
while maintaining fairness in negotiations. Protects sensitive
supplier and pricing information from unauthorized disclosure.
Ensures all procurement activities align with regulatory standards
(FDA, USDA, SQF) and internal policies. Maintains clear
documentation and communication to avoid conflicts of interest.
Takes ownership of actions and decisions, especially in contract
execution and vendor relationships. Understands and enforces
anti-bribery and ethical sourcing practices. Major
Business/Professional Contacts Regular contact with corporate
cross-functional partners, manufacturing team members, and the
leadership team. Occasional contact with vendors. Working and
Environmental Conditions Operates in a high-volume food and
beverage manufacturing setting where priorities can shift quickly.
Requires precision in contract review and compliance documentation.
Heavy use of ERP systems (NetSuite or similar), procurement
analytics tools, and digital contract management platforms. This
role is based in Oceanside, CA, and relocation assistance is not
offered for this position. Physical Demands Primarily sedentary
role requiring extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on
a computer. Occasional lifting of files, binders, or small office
equipment (typically under 20 lbs.). May involve occasional travel
to vendor sites, manufacturing facilities, or industry events.
Ability to read detailed contracts, spreadsheets, and communicate
effectively via phone, video calls, and in-person meetings.
