Job Description:
A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Authorization
Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Complete pre-registrations by verifying insurance information and
validating referrals and prior authorizations
Provide price estimates for healthcare services and identify
financial resources for those services
Communicate issues related to Advance Beneficiary Notices and
resolve pre-service authorization denials with referring
providers
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
One (1) year of post high school business or college course work
preferred
National Association of Healthcare Access Management Certification
preferred
Minimum one (1) year experience in a customer service role
preferred
Medical Terminology proficiency by exam and one year of admitting,
billing, or registration experience in a healthcare setting, or
equivalent educational background
AA Degree and six months healthcare experience acceptable
